How to Remote Access Windows 8 | Setup Easy Remote Access.

 

We have two identical laptop computers with different software mounted on each. Let's call them the hubby machine and the wife machine. We want to take one on a long vacation and access the other, remotely, as if we were sitting at its keyboard. I don't know the current terminology for this capability. What package does MS recommend to add such a capability to Win 8.

Free would be good, but I'd pay something if necessary. Hubby needs to use wife's computer traveling on the East Coast to access his hubby computer, left on at home.

I may not have chosen the correct category and Topic. I'd appreciate it if someone would correct them if it is needed. You can use Windows Remote Desktop Connection to take a remote connection of one computer on another.
