Hey guys and gals, I purchased World of Zoo for the Wii initially really loved it, spent way too much time customizing animals and whatnot.
After about a month of playing it pretty much daily it eventually got old, but i have to say worth every penny. I think the only major turnoff for the Wii version is trying to used the wiimote for an extended period of time, just too annoying. So last weekend i was trying to look up cheats or unlockables, because on the Wii version has a code entry screen which is apparently just a tease because no known codes can be found on the internet.
Anyways i knew there were PC and and DS versions so i decided to look up the price of the PC version because i figure the ease of use with the mouse would be perfect.
So i get it today ready and raring to go make me some crocodiles I think to myself "this cant be, they must be unlockable". I research it. Wikipedia says what i dreaded, half the families arent in the PC version. I'm still in denial, I'm trying to tell myself that they will be unlockable and that the fact the the areas on the map are there but the animals arent must mean something sure it means that the full version came out for wii first and wii wouldnt allow sales of a full game on PC SO if you own a Wii buy that version hands down.
If you only have a PC get this one. My daughter wanted this game after seeing someone play it in a YouTube video. This is an adorable animal care-taking game with great interaction.
I have not played it significantly, but my six year old daughter is always asking me to come see what her zoo looks like and if I want to play with the tigers. She is so pleased and excited with the ease of control and game play.
That makes dad happy. One person found this helpful. Doesn't come with coffee for online download and my daughters laptop doesn't have a disc holder so it's pretty much useless. My four year old daughter loves this game! We have to help her out a bit at parts but she loves caring for her animals. I think her favorite part is getting to pick up the "poopies" the animals leave behind : Great game for young kids, as long as you get the great PC price I wouldn't pay the console price because it is very simple and the graphics are simple also, but it's for kids and they love it.
